In the upcoming election, there are many candidates; however there is only one that is truly qualified for the job. While Romney has many valid opinions, most of them are not the right ones for the nation at this time. Obama is a batter candidate for many reasons including his motivation to increase women’s rights, extend job opportunities, and put more funding into education.
First of all, Obama supports women and equality between the two genders. He signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay act which made pay between women and men equal. Romney, on the other hand, did not sign the Lily Ledbetter Act and does not believe that discrimination against women is an issue. Obama also put an end to uneven health insurance so women would get charged the same copays as men. These caring acts prove that Obama is clearly doing more good than harm to this nation. “A vote for Obama is a vote for equal pay for equal work.”
In addition, Obama has increased job opportunities for all United States citizens. Under his presidency the US has seen 31 consecutive months of increased job opportunities. He payed off industry debts to save more than one million jobs. When General Motors was about to go underwater Obama stepped in and funded bailed them out, saving hundreds of families incomes. “Mitt Romney opposed the Recovery Act, opposed the auto industry rescue, and said that we should let the housing market ‘hit the bottom’. Osama Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.”
Finally, Obama has given grants to colleges so more lower class students will have a chance to attend and get a higher education. He doubled funding for grants in education and established a college tax credit. A college tax credit is a tax examption that lower class college students can take advantage of to reduce their taxes while the are trying to pay off student loans. Many families avoided going to debt and benefited greatly from this new concept. With Romney, these families who are suffering would not have been given these types of grants or tax cuts to be able receive a higher education. “Obama is putting higher education within reach for millions more Americans.”
Obama is the best competitor in the upcoming presidential race because he is supporting women, increasing job opportunities, and putting more money into education. Romney is not looking out for the nation and should not be put in office at this time. Vote for Barack Obama and vote for a better America.
